Seattle Photoshoot Location Guide

The Seattle area offers such a beautiful and diverse array of backdrops that it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a location that best represents you. But here’s a guide of some locations that I love shooting in to help you make your decision!

Discovery Park

Discovery Park, located in Magnolia, is definitely one of the most popular spots for photos, and it’s no wonder why. There is such a beautiful variety of spots at the park in a small radius, making it great for all types of shoots.

Volunteer Park

Located in Capitol Hill, Volunteer Park is a stunning and scenic spot offering lots of great places for photos. The conservatory is not open for professional photography, but a permit can be purchased to shoot there after hours. But there are so many other spots, including outside of the conservatory, that are amazing for photos!

Gasworks Park

Gasworks Park, right next to Fremont, offers both great views of Seattle and fun, industrial vibes.

Ballard Locks

The Ballard Locks is a great combination of industrial and nature that offers beautiful spots all year round.

Woodland Park Rose Garden

I didn’t even know this location existed until a few years ago, but once I discovered it, I was hooked! While this location is obviously best during the late summer when the roses are blooming, it still offers great spots even on the off season.

Fremont

Fremont is probably one of my places in Seattle in general. It’s colorful, fun, and I could honestly walk around for hours!

Washington Arboretum

Another location that is beautiful all year round! The endless greenery makes it the epitome of the Pacific Northwest.
