Adia Graduation Photos- Washington Arboretum

If we know one thing about our beautiful Pacific Northwest, it’s that our weather can be sort of kind of unpredictable. I normally shoot rain or shine, but if it’s raining sideways, we reschedule. Well, that’s what happened for Adia’s senior/graduation photos. We had to reschedule not once. Not twice. Not thrice. But FOUR times. On the date of her senior session, it was raining allllll day. But we were so close to the end of the school year, so we decided to embrace the rain and go for it. But then, a miracle happened. About an hour before our shoot, the sun came out and there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. Words can’t describe the squeal I let out when I looked out the window and saw how beautiful it was. The shoot was cold and a little muddy, but we had the beautiful Washington Arboretum mostly to ourselves and the lighting was STUNNING. I am so overjoyed with how everything turned out, especially considering how much the weather gods had been working against us. The wait was totally worth it!
